How much do SiteSmart websites and website services cost?
Of course, it’s hard to give a figure for your project until we’ve worked through exactly what you want, and what we’ll need to do. To give you a ballpark to work with, we’ve put together the details below.

Price Guides for building a website
A basic website with content management:
Starting from NZD $2625 plus GST
This is based upon 35 hours of design and development work (at our package rate of $75/hour) and includes:
- building your website on our demo server so you can see it and test it in a live, password-protected environment
- website design for an information-based website, based on your existing marketing materials
- setting up Wordpress as a content management system (CMS) so you can edit the pages of your website
- setting up hosting for your website and a domain name if required
- basic work to make your site search engine-friendly (not including in-depth search engine optimisation or SEO)
- deployment of your website (going live) and testing it in a range of popular browsers
- written instructions, and two hours of phone and/or email support
Features you may wish to add
Price will depend on the individual feature and the extent of customisation required.
Our work is charged at NZD $85 plus GST per hour, and we’re happy to get quotes from subcontractors on your behalf. Contact us for a free quote.

Ongoing costs
Please remember that there are ongoing costs associated with having a website.
Every website needs:
- a domain name. Budget on NZ$40 plus GST per year.
- a hosting package. Budget on NZ$20 plus GST per month (usually paid annually).
